Adult Psychotherapy and Psychopharmacology
Dr. Cueva is an authority at treating adults who are experiencing emotional/behavioral problems deriving from such conditions as Pervasive Developmental Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Anxiety Disorders and/or Mood Disorders. Her goal is to improve her patients’ mental health and, thereby, their quality of life. In order to achieve this, Dr. Cueva incorporates a wide range of appropriate psychotherapy modalities in her treatment of each individual.
When indicated, Dr. Cueva’s treatment may entail prescription medication. She will discuss with the patient a medication’s potential for success, prescribe an appropriate one, and monitor its application throughout the period of treatment.
Dr. Cueva is also available exclusively for medication management—independent of psychotherapy—or for both interventions, as needed.
Accustomed to working with a fluid combination of techniques, Dr. Cueva develops an individualized treatment program to address each patient’s symptom presentation. Her extensive training and experience in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology allow Dr. Cueva to incorporate a diverse set of therapeutic approaches in her private practice. The resultant treatment is interactive, skillfully tailored to the needs of each individual patient.
Dr. Cueva sees individuals on referral from various sources such as medical doctors, psychologists, social workers or other patients. She does not accept private insurance or HMO assignments.
